”Greg has known our son and our family for 6 years now. To say he has had an impact on Kaeden’s life and running career is an understatement. Greg is unique in his ability to really connect with those around him. It’s seldom that you find a coach that can balance pushing an athlete past their limits to meet goals while maintaining empathy and a focus on mental and emotional growth. Greg does just that, and doesn’t stop there. Greg has a vast knowledge of the sport of running, and has proven abilities to grow runners of all levels. However, we would say he’s been much more than a coach to Kaeden, he has become a lifelong mentor. We could speak endlessly about the performance improvements that Kaeden experienced under Greg as a coach, but what really sets Greg apart is his care and selfless love of those he coaches. Greg has helped Kaeden find a confidence- both in the sport and in life- that was nonexistent before, and as parents we couldn’t be more thankful for Greg’s influence in Kaeden’s life.”

”Coach Greg Coplen has served as one of the most impactful people in my life. On and off the track, Coach Coplen's ability to create rapport with his athletes and their families is second to none. In just one year of being under the wing of coach, I saw an exponential increase in my athletic performances and more importantly the betterment of myself. I learned so much more about the sport and how far the little things can take you. Coach's affable personality always made it easy to seek advice and or talk about anything going on in life. As someone who dealt with a fair share of mental struggles as a teenager, it was vital for me to have positive role models and I can proudly say Coplen was one of them. Lastly, what separates Coach Coplen from any ordinary distance coach is his strength in developing his athletes for both the short and long term. Anybody can train someone to run fast once, but through Cope's training I have still been able to see success years later at the collegiate level.”
